Meet The Family

I am Katie.

I am a wife, a military officer, and a brand new blogger.  I am originally from Iowa, the boy from South Carolina and we both miss home dearly. I started this blog with the intention to keep our family and friends up to date on our lives. Hopefully it will give everyone a glimpse into our absolutely amazing (sure, I might be biased) slice of life.

Here is Mr. Wonderful, aka RJ. He is a brilliant man, a dedicated military officer, and one of the most caring people I have ever met. He loves his family and I couldn't have asked for a better person with whom I could traverse through life.

Speaking of family, I have to introduce the two handsome little guys that seem to take up most of our time.

Hayden is our 3 y/o Fox Terrier. He thinks he's people and can be quite the handful, but we love him anyway. H, as he is more often referred to, joined me on my adventures after I graduated college and for a long time it was just the two of us. Luckily he is pretty fond of RJ or I would have quite a difficult time choosing between the two...I mean look at that face, Who wouldn't?

And here is Gatsby.

Well, more accurately....here is he is, but I couldn't resist putting in that puppy picture. He became part of the family in July 2012. I lured RJ to the pet store knowing he couldn't resist the look of this little guy. It took 3 days but eventually we brought him home and neither of us regrets it a bit
